Engine service technician
We are looking for a skilled Engine Service Technician to join our team, specializing in the maintenance and repair of large marine engines. This role involves working on engines from leading manufacturers such as Sulzer, MAN, both in our workshop and onboard vessels worldwide. If you have experience with marine engine overhauls and enjoy hands-on technical work, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a growing company.
Your Responsibilities:
- Performing maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of large marine engines.
- Diagnosing engine failures and conducting necessary repairs on vessels and in workshops.
- Servicing and replacing engine components such as cylinder heads, pistons, fuel systems, and turbochargers.
- Using measurement tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure proper engine operation.
- Preparing service reports and maintaining technical documentation.
- Cooperating with customers, ship crews, and internal teams to ensure efficient service execution.
What You Need for This Role:
- Experience in servicing and repairing marine engines.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and service manuals.
- Proficiency in using measurement and diagnostic tools.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel for service assignments (both domestic and international).
- Basic knowledge of English (technical English is an advantage).
- Valid passport and ability to work in shipyards and onboard vessels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Shipyard/service experience related to the repair or installation of onboard equipment
- Knowledge of issues related to hydraulic drive systems
- Mechanical and/or technical education
