Adam Ślebioda
Adam Ślebioda and Tadeusz Wilkicki established BSS in 1990. Their first office was a cellar, where telex machines, phones, pens, and scrapbooks were their primary tools. The company’s growth necessitated moves to larger spaces: first barracks, and finally, in 1998, to its current location at Astronomów 8 in Gdańsk, which includes a small warehouse. The 1998 move signaled a significant leap forward.
The year 2019 marked two significant achievements for BSS. Firstly, the company became the sole representative of FSA H. Cegielski, gradually taking over the entire stock of parts remaining at the plant. Secondly, the Service Department was established, enabling BSS to provide services worldwide, both on board and in dry dock.
In 2000, BSS introduced ISO standards to meet customer demands. The company steadily grew, and in 2011, a second warehouse with a workshop was built to accommodate a broader range of parts. In 2012, BSS received approval from the Polish Register of Shipping. Another milestone was achieved in 2013 with the acquisition of ZUT Zgoda (Sulzer Engine Maker Licensee), bringing valuable know-how that positioned BSS ahead of competitors.
In 2023, a friendly management takeover saw Mateusz Wilkicki and Tadeusz Ślebioda stepping into their fathers’ roles. This transition coincided with the grand opening of BSS’s latest project, the third warehouse. This modern hall includes a workshop, production, and storage facilities.
In 2024, BSS implemented ISO DNV GL. The company remains committed to growth and looks forward to new projects and challenges
